Roberta J. Robinson LaFrance, age 95, of Bloomsburg, PA, formerly of Laceyville, PA, passed away on Sunday morning, August 19, 2018 at Sunset Ridge in Bloomsburg, PA.

Roberta was born on Rock Hill, PA on January 23, 1923, the daughter of the late Frank O. Robinson, who passed away on June 28, 1986 and the former Eva M. Mace, who passed away on February 25, 1973. Roberta was a graduate of the Laceyville High School with the Class of 1940. On August 28, 1941, she married Clyde Sink LaFrance and the couple was together for 66 years until his passing on April 29, 2008. Roberta worked as a homemaker and housewife as she raised three children, Lelia, David, and Ferne.

Roberta was a member and prayer warrior of the Braintrim Baptist Church in Laceyville, PA. She was a very loving wife and a caring mother. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, sewing, and canning. In her later years in life she enjoyed word search puzzles. She was a woman who loved her family dearly and will be truly missed by many.

Roberta is survived by her three children, Lelia Drake of Lake Winola, PA David LaFrance and his wife Bonnie of Newville, PA; and Ferne Yost and her husband Carroll of Stillwater, PA; grandchildren Jason Cashmark (Selena); Deanna LaFrance; Tricia LaFrance; Daniel LaFrance (Christine); Adrienne LaFrance; Jared Yost (Sara); Heather Hostetter (Tim); Justin Yost (Jana); and great-grandchildren Emma and Jackson Cashmark; Hannah, Caleb and Marissa Yost; Madysen, Lyndzey, and Kayleah Hostetter; Lauren, Chloe, and Brielle Yost. Roberta is also survived by her sister-in-law Letha Robinson of Middletown, PA as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Thomas Drake and brother Ed Robinson.

Funeral services for Roberta will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from the Braintrim Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dick Camp officiating. Interment will follow at Beaver Meadows Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service
