Ronald J. Gorman, age 78, of 1449 McGovern Road, Wyalusing, PA (Herrickville) passed away late Saturday afternoon, December 27, 2014 at the Bradford County Manor where he was a resident for the past three weeks.

Ron was born in Guttenberg, New Jersey on September 29, 1936 the son of the late James and Mary Casagrande Gorman. He was a graduate of the Memorial High School in West New York, NJ. Upon graduation Ron proudly served his country with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. After the military Ron worked for the Kingswood Company as a day trader in Jersey City, NJ.

Ron married the former Edith Kolar on April 13, 1957 and together they had four sons. He was a member of the Wyalusing American Legion Post #534 and the Towanda V.F.W. Ronald loved being surrounded by his family especially his grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his wife of 57 years Edith Kolar Gorman; his sons Jim and wife Annemarie Gorman of Effort, PA; Robert and his wife Jane Gorman of Herrickville, PA; Michael and his wife Dana Gorman of New Milford, NJ; John Gorman of Herrickville, PA; his grandchildren Dr. Daniel James Gorman of Akron, OH; Tom and his wife Ashley Gorman of Elizabethtown, PA; Melissa Gorman and her fiancé Scott Kiskaddon of Sellersville, PA; Matthew Gorman & Michael Gorman both of Herrickville, PA; Taylor Rose Gorman of Beacon, NY; Ronald John Gorman of Beacon, NY; sisters Susan of Florida; Patricia of Florida; and Barbara and her husband Tom of California. Ron is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church St., Wyalusing, PA. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 2:00- 4:00 PM and 7:00- 9:00 PM. As to the wishes of Mr. Gorman, there will be no funeral services. Internment will be at the convenience of the family.
