Ronald A. “Boo” Schoonover, age 59, of Black Walnut, PA passed away on Sunday afternoon, August 16, 2026 at his home.

Born on June 16, 1967 at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, PA, he was the son of Roland “Ronnie” and the late Diana Brown Schoonover.

Boo was a fourth-generation painter in the Schoonover family. He enjoyed watching baseball and football games, especially the Dallas Cowboys.

He was a devoted son, brother, and brother-in-law.

Along with his father, Boo is survived by his brother Jim Brown and his wife, Shelly Brown. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by Buddy the Husky.

A graveside service will be held for Boo at the Perrins Marsh Cemetery, Route 292 (on SR 2005 and Demunds Rd) on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 12:00 PM with Reverend Charles Bishop of the Transue and Elk Lake Community Churches officiating.
