Royce J. Hutchinson, age 33, passed away in Luzerne County on Sunday morning, August 17, 2025.

Born in Batavia, NY on October 21, 1991, he was the son of Eileen "Leeny" Lott Gruver of Meshoppen, PA and James Hutchinson of Leesburg, FL.  Growing up in the Meshoppen area, Royce attended Elk Lake High School where he pursued his love of music by forming a band with his friends.  Royce's passion for music was vast and he was particularly skilled at playing the guitar and drums.

Along with both of his parents, Royce is survived by his brother, Captain Treg Davis (Kymber) of Barrington, NH; his nieces and nephews, Kiera, Kayleigh, Kamryn, Tanner, and Kendall Davis; his aunt, Marcha Brown (James) of Black Walnut, PA; his uncles, Todd Lott (Laura) of Cameron, NC and Dave Hutchinson of Leesburg, FL.

Preceding Royce in death are his grandparents, Celine Lott, Charles Lott, Virginia Hutchinson, and Roy Hutchinson; and his uncle, Robbie Lott.

A private ceremony for Royce will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family.
