Ruthann Ladner Scapillato, age 74, of Buffalo NY, formerly of Meshoppen, PA entered into eternal rest on April 9, 2014 at the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY.

Ruthann was the beloved wife of the late Armando Scapillato; dearest Mother of twins Armando Scapillato and Elaine (Tom Powers) Jarzynka; the late Joseph Scapillato; precious daughter of the late Jesse and Ruth (Uplinger) Ladner; loving grandmother to Jennifer (Jay) Mercurio; Jesse (Alecia) Jarzynka; great grandmother to Julian and Daisy Jarzynka; devoted sister to; Nancy (Bob) Jennings; Kathleen Dunbar; dearest sister in law to; Roxanne Ladner; Marlene Ladner; Nettie Ladner; Eugene Inman; Mary Scapillato; Antoinette Scapillato; Tony (Mary) Scapillato; Rose Scapillato; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruthann was preceded in death by; Betty Brewer (sister); Joan Inman (sister); Jim Ladner (brother); Don Ladner (brother); Dick Ladner (brother); Atilio Scapillato (brother in law); Joseph Scapillato ( brother in law).

Ruthann was the most wonderful and loving person to everyone she met. Her generosity, kindness and giving heart were unmatched. Words cannot describe how truly she will be missed. Ruthann always said "you have to walk our own path."

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10:00AM at the St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church with Father Joseph Manarchuck of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish officiating. Family and friends may call at the Sheldon Funeral Home 8206 SR 6 (Main St.) Meshoppen, PA on (Palm Sunday) April 13, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM with a Rosary at 8:45 PM.
