Shirley Lee Woodruff, age 85 of Laceyville, PA passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the Viva Senior Living in Harrisburg, PA.

She was born on April 27, 1939 in Towanda, PA the daughter of the late Martha Eva Wells (d. August 29, 1999) and Theodore W. Lee (d. November 16, 1988).  Shirley resided in Wyalusing during her childhood and graduated from Wyalusing High School with the class of 1957.

In her early years after high school Shirley was employed as a Waitress with the Windy Mill and Hayloft.  She then gained employment with Taylor Packing in the Receiving Department and remained there for many years.  She would often help during the weekly sales at the Wyalusing Livestock Market as well.

In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her flower garden, playing games, especially dominos, and quilting with the "Sew and Sews".  She took great pleasure traveling with her family throughout the country and also making short trips to Tioga Downs to try her luck.  She would get together with her classmates monthly for lunch.  Most of all, Shirley loved to spend time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her children, Lauri Luxton (Raymond) of Springfield, VA, Patti Salsman (Zane) of Laceyville, PA and Scott Edsell (Anne) of Middletown, PA; the children of her late husband, Clifford "Sunny" Woodruff, Jr. (d. December 13, 2021), Clifford H. Woodruff III (Cindy) of Frederick, MD and Daniel R. Woodruff of Cheboygan, MI; her grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, and Jonathon; her step-grandchildren, Collin, Heather, Logan, Paige, Miranda, Dagan, and Maddox; and her great-grandchildren, Aidan, Elias, Carter, Charlee, and Aura.  She is also survived by her siblings, Dianna Cresho, Taylorville, PA; Janet Chaffee, Laceyville, PA, and JoAnne Treadwell, Melbourne, FL; brother-in-law, David Green; her four-legged friend she absolutely adored, Holly; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Irma Green (d. June 12, 2024); her brother, Steve Otis (d. November 24, 2017); her step-father H. Adelbert Otis (d. December 19, 2012); her brother-in-law, Paul Cresho (March 2, 2015); and her step-son, Randy Woodruff (d. February 1, 2017).

Funeral Services for Shirley will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 4:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
