IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sidney "Tic"
Davies
June 18, 1952 – May 14, 2022
Sidney "Tic" Davies 69, of Meshoppen, PA, was called home on Saturday afternoon, May 14, 2022. Tic was born on June 18, 1952, the son of the late Clarence and Kathleen Steele Davies. He graduated from the Elk Lake High School, with the class of 1971. After which, he served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Rought Hall American Legion Post #510, in Black Walnut, PA. In his later years, he worked for Bill Ruark of Meshoppen Stone, INC for the last 18 years. He loved his job.
Tic was an amazing man, easy going, light hearted and one of a kind. He would do anything for anyone. It was impossible not to love him and he was, indeed, loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed the small things in life; his birds, growing his vegetable garden every summer. He loved his tie-dye shirts. Every Thanksgiving he would play "Alice's Restaurant" all day, and the whole family would sing along, excepting Alice. He enjoyed going on vacation every summer with his wife and their friends Steve K and his late wife, Susie. He loved his John Deere tractor, one of his greatest investments. He would toot that horn at his wife to startle her, then we would laugh and laugh at her expense. He had a playful nature. He loved his life and truly lived each day to it's fullest.
In 1986, Tic started a yearly tradition with his late brother Luke of attending the Indy 500. Later in life, his son would join them. He was so excited about their upcoming Indy trip and spending that time with his son.
Most of all, Tic loved his family. He married the love of his life, the former Lana Smith, and was married for 46 years, Tic and Lana were inseparable and the shining example of a long-lasting marriage.
Tic will forever be loved and missed. He was a beautiful, kind, and loving soul.
His favorite saying being; "What the hell, man"
Survived by his beloved wife Lana Davies, his son Nathaniel (Amanda) Davies, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, his daughter Rhiannon (Timothy) Thompson, of Meshoppen, PA, grandchildren Nadia (Anthony) Davies, Nastassja (Christian) Davies, Eowyn Thompson, Morgan Davies, Violet Davies, great grand daughter and namesake Sydney Gray. Also Tic is survived by his sisters Margo Ace, of Wyalusing, PA, Sharon (Walt) Sutton, of Spingville, PA, and Celia (Steve) Very, of Rushville, PA, and his brother Gary (Mary Ann) Davies, of Meshoppen, PA.
