Tammy Mae Hunsinger, age 59, of Laceyville, PA passed away, Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital.

Tammy was born on March 4, 1963 in Tunkhannock, PA the daughter of Lois Strohl Edwards and the late Kenneth Cook (d. 1976).  She was a graduate of Elk Lake High School with the class of 1981.

Tammy and her husband, David G. Hunsinger, have been together for over 42 years.  She enjoyed her occupation of cleaning houses and previously baby-siting.

She enjoyed planting flowers, hunting, going on Ranger rides, and especially her Friday breakfasts at Flynn's with her mother.  Tammy also enjoyed quenching her thirst with Anheuser-Busch beverages.  Most of all Tammy loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Tammy is survived by her husband, David G. Hunsinger; her children, Deanna Fauver (Corey Brewer) of Laceyville, PA and Joshua Hunsinger (Sarah) of Meshoppen, PA; her grandchildren, Deagon Fauver, Finley Fauver, and Everleigh Fauver all of Laceyville, PA and Hailey Strohl, Brian Strohl, Braxton Hunsinger, Savanna Stewart, and Brantley Hunsinger all of Meshoppen, PA; her mother and step-father, Lois and Wayne Edwards of Lawton, PA; her siblings, Judi Hunt (Rick) of Lawton, PA, Jay Cook of Lawton, PA, and Thomas Cook of Falls, PA; her step-sister, Wanda Jenner (Randy) of Lawton PA; her brothers/sisters-in-law, Terry and Carol Hunsinger of Laceyville, PA, Chuck and Delores Hunsinger of Laceyville, PA and Bonnie Antoine of Henderson, TN; as well as many nieces and nephews.  Besides her father she was preceded in death by her brother, Rick Cook.

A Memorial Service will be held for Tammy on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville with Reverend Thomas Mott of the Meshoppen United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Beaver Meadows Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
