Teresa Mapes Carachilo, age 48, of Laceyville, PA passed away on Friday morning, December 14, 2018 after a long battle with an illness.

Teresa was born on September 13, 1970 in Towanda, PA the daughter of Edward L. Mapes of Sugar Run, PA and the late Martina Harvey Post.

She was a graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School with the class of 1988.  After high school she attended Williamsport Area Community College.  She was employed with Proctor and Gamble for many years as a Line Leader.

Teresa was a member of the Moxie Community Church.  She thoroughly enjoyed photography, working in her flower beds, and tinkering with various crafts.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her two girls and her husband, Scott, who she married on July 8, 2006.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Carachilo, of Laceyville, PA, her daughters, Amanda Gillespie and her fiancé, Steve Stoneback, of Edgewood, KY and Taylor Salsman and her other half, George Schwartz, of Forest City, PA; her granddaughter, Arie Stoneback, of Edgewood, KY; her father Edward L. Mapes and his wife Darlene of Sugar Run, PA; her sisters, Tina Silverstrim and her husband Jerry of Dushore, PA and Lori Finnerty of Sugar Run, PA; her brother Ed B. Mapes and his wife Missy of Sugar Run, PA; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and step-brothers/sisters.

A Celebration of Life for Teresa will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 3:00-5:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church Street, Wyalusing, PA.
