Thelma Jane Goodenough, age 72, of Wyalusing, PA passed away Monday morning, September 2, 2013 at the Skilled Nursing Unit at Memorial Hospital in Towanda, PA.

Thelma was born on September 14, 1940 the daughter of the late Fred and Johanna Kinney in Johnson City, NY.

She worked at the Bradford County Manor as a Nurses Aid until her retirement in 2002. Prior to working at the Manor she worked as a Seamstress at many of the local dress factories.

Thelma was a former member of the Wyalusing Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and bingo. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Robert L. Goodenough of Terrytown, PA; her daughter Phyllis K. Spencer and her husband James of Wyalusing, PA; her grandchildren Melissa Showalter and her husband Alan of Wyalusing, PA and Lucas Spencer of Camptown, PA; her great-grandchildren Mitchell and Matthew Spencer of New Albany, PA; her brother Frank Kinney and his wife Dusty of Campville, NY; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Tom Kinney and his wife Sally, Margaret Sullivan, and Donny Kinney, her niece Bonnie Kinney, and her daughter-in-law Felicia Goodenough.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, PA with Rev. Barry Ballard of the Wyalusing Presbyterian officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 5 from 6:00 PM until the time of the service.
