Victoria McGavin Keating, age 62, of Montrose, PA passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015.

Victoria was born on May 14, 1953 in Meshoppen, PA the daughter of late Ambrose 'Glenn' and Margaret Dorothea Day McGavin. As a child she attended St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. At the age of 6 Victoria and her family moved to North Bergen, NJ. She grew up in the Jersey town as a child and graduated high school from there as well. After schooling Victoria moved around before landing in the Fort Mill/Charlotte, NC area. She worked for Royal Insurance as a CPCU in Charlotte, NC for 35 years in the property and casualty fields. Victoria moved back to the Montrose area a year ago to be with her family.

Victoria is survived by her niece Rebecca Sims-Sincavish and her husband Paul of Montrose, PA; cousins Dorothy Allen of Springville, PA; Annette Allen of Springville, PA; Mary Smith and her husband Ronnie of Meshoppen, PA; and John Allen of Ocklawaha, FL. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Deborah McGavin Sims and her brother Brian J. McGavin.

A memorial service for Victoria will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 SR 6, Meshoppen, PA with Father Joseph Manarchuck of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
