Walter L. Reinmiller Sr., age 83, formerly of Jenningsville, PA passed away Monday afternoon February 1, 2016 at the Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre Hospice Care.
Walter was born on January 15, 1933 the son of the late Walter G. and Alice M. Kuech Reinmiller. He was a graduate of Hazelton High School with the Class of 1950. Walter married the former Irene K. Donaghy and they were married for 54 years until she passed away on December 11, 2009. After graduating high school he moved to Chester, PA in October of 1950 and worked for his uncle doing construction work. In March of 1953 he entered the US Army and served his country for four years until his honorable discharge in 1957. Walter then worked in Washington D.C. for the FBI in the I-DENT Building as a file reviewer for three years. After that he worked for Philadelphia Electric Company for 31 years, for 21 of those years he worked as a turbine operator in a power plant in Chester, PA. The last 10 years of his employment he worked in a mobile maintenance team until his retirement in 1991. In 1992 Walter and his wife put a home on Chamberlain Pond in Jenningsville, PA. He was a member of the Jenningsville United Methodist Church.
Walter is survived by his three sons Walter L. Reinmiller Jr. of Chester, PA; Barry L. Reinmiller of Edwardsville, PA; and Paul A. Reinmiller and his wife Teresa of Aston, PA. He is also survived by his grandson David Reinmiller of Aston, PA; Ashley Reinmiller of Aston, PA; sister Gale Reinmiller Lingo and her husband Larry of Essex, PA; and a niece Dawn Lingo. Besides his wife and parents Walter is preceded in death by a niece Kristin Lingo.
A memorial service for Walter will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Jenningsville United Methodist Church with Reverend Joshua Yorks of the church officiating.
