William "Bill" G. Brewster, Jr., age 76, of Laceyville, PA passed away on Saturday morning, May 4, 2019 at his home with his loving wife at his side.
Bill was born in Ridley Park, PA on June 29, 1942, the son of the late William G. and Eleanor E. Neiley Brewster, Sr. He served his country in the US Army as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and Engineer from 1962-1968.
He worked for Preston & Preston Logging with his uncle and cousin for over 40 years. He was also employed with Jerry Johnson Quarries for 3 years until he fell ill.
Bill was a member of the Wyalusing American Legion Post# 534. He was a very hard worker and always enjoyed working. He took great pleasure in fishing and tinkering with lawnmowers and power saws in his free time.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Brown Brewster of home; his children, Richard Brewster, Tom Brewster, Tammy Brewster, and Sandra God and her husband, Charlie, of Wyalusing, PA; his step-sons, David Brown and his wife Stacey of Rushville, PA and Scott Dickinson and his wife Jenny of Elizabethtown, KY; his eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his siblings, Betty McGuire of Rome, PA, Nancy Beeman and her husband Al of Rome, PA, and Dale Brewster and his wife Beverly of Milan, PA; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers/sisters-in-law.
A Celebration of Life and Military Honor Service for Bill will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Marie Antoinette Bar and Grill with the members of the Wyalusing American Legion Post# 534 conducting the Military Honor Service. The family asks to celebrate Bill's life and bring a dish to pass with other family and friends.
